Every February, Hintonites join together to create something amazing. Town Divisions, local non-profits, teams, organizations, and businesses all contribute to the overall festival. Two weeks of winter activities, ranging from cultural pursuits to winter sports, break up the monotony of the cold weather and bring together residents and visitors alike to revel in our winter wonderland. Join us for Hinton’s ‘Winter Magic Festival 2026’!

Growler Team Relay:
Register with friends in teams of 2 to 4. Keep one racer on the course at a time and add up your lap times for a cumulative team time!
Best Costume Theme:
Just riding for fun with friends? What better way to show this than fun costumes! Roll up with the squad and see if you and your pals can get people clapping for your costume theme.

11:00 AM to 12:00 PM - Registration / Check-in
12:15 PM - Racer Meeting
12:30 PM - Mass Start (Growler & Howler)
2:00 PM - Howler Category Ends
3:30 PM - Growler Category Ends
4:00 PM - Awards (Howler & Growler)
Entry Fees:
$30 per team relay racer
$45 for HMBA members
$65 for non-members
$70 the day of the race
How to Register:
All participants ages 13+ can register online.
All minors (under 18) must have a parent or guardian sign their waivers on the day of the event.
Online registration will close on February 5th, 2026. Race day registration is possible - but not encouraged.
Other event information:
This is a FAT BIKE ONLY event.
Tires must be 3.8 inches wide (or more) and studs are permitted.
E-bikes are not permitted.
Race course will be on groomed trails, depending on snow conditions.
Riding for fun? Goofy costumes are encouraged!
